Dead Island 2 Exceeded One Million Sales In Just 3 Days
It’s been well over a decade since Dead Island 2 was first revealed. And now it’s out since last Friday for PC and consoles, with no signs of its sales dying down anytime soon.
In a press release on Monday, Deep Silver has claimed that the game has reached the one million sales milestone within just three days. It said players had logged 11 million hours of playtime, died 28 million times, and slayed over 1.1 billion zombies since it’s been released.

The title was first announced in 2014, the zombie action RPG has suffered a series of delays and changes of developers during its production cycle. Originally, Spec Ops: The Line studio Yager was working on it before development duties were then taken over by Sumo Digital. In 2019, Dambuster, which is an internal Deep Silver studio, took over development in 2019.
