Starfield Was Originally Planned For PS5 As Well Before Microsoft Acquired Bethesda
Starfield is the next Xbox-exclusive game from the developer of The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim and the Fallout games, Bethesda. However, the truth has been revealed; Starfield was originally planned to release for the PS5 as well.
Documents recently made public (via Twitter) as part of today’s trial between Xbox/Activision and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Starfield was in development for the PS5 alongside other platforms like Xbox Series X/S and PC, just like Redfall was recently confirmed to be as well.
Also, can't recall if they've said this before, but the FTC believes Starfield was originally planned to also release on PS5 (seems logical given time it was in development) pic.twitter.com/Ce51btTs6j

That only changed once Microsoft announced its acquisition of Bethesda in 2020. Starfield was originally announced back in 2018, but they did not reveal specific platforms back then.
Starfield will launch for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass and PC via Steam on 26 September 2023.
