Microsoft Predicts Next-Gen Xbox & PS6 To Arrive In 2028
It seems like we still have half a decade to enjoy our PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles before the PS6 and next-gen Xbox arrives.
According to court documents reviewed by IGN, Microsoft said the “expected starting period” of the next-gen consoles such as the PS6 and whatever the next Xbox will be is sometime in 2028, which is five years away from now.
What this means is that Xbox Series X/S and PS5 are expected to have an approximately 8-year-lifespan. The news comes from documents made public during today’s trial between Xbox/Activision and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
In other related news to come out of the Xbox FTC trial, it was revealed that the upcoming Bethesda MachineGames Indiana Jones game will be an Xbox exclusive and that Starfield was originally planned for the PS5 before Microsoft purchased Bethesda.
