Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Is Skating Into Steam Next Week

Get ready to ride the nostalgia wave as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is finally coming to Steam on 3 October after 3 years of it being available on the Epic Games Store exclusively.

Activision and the rad crew at Vicarious Visions are teaming up to drop this game on our beloved gaming platform. They’ve got two editions in store for us: the standard one and the Digital Deluxe edition. Now, what’s the Deluxe pack got for us? Well, it’s got “The Ripper” skater from Powell-Peralta, slick retro outfits for Tony Hawk himself, Steve Caballero, and Rodney Mullen, and some groovy retro content to pimp out your Create-A-Skater mode, including vintage skateboard decks. Talk about decking out your skater, right?

In case you’ve been living under a virtual rock, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 initially dropped on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store back on 4 September 2020. Then, it made its way to PS5 and Xbox Series X | S on 26 March 2021, and finally hit the Nintendo Switch scene on 25 June 2021.

So, what’s the lowdown on this game, you ask? Well, if you head over to its Steam page, you’ll find a spiel that goes a little something like this:

Imagine diving headfirst into the nostalgia pool with fully remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, all bundled up into one epic collection. They’ve rebuilt these classics from the ground up, and they’re looking sharper than ever in high-definition.

You can cruise around as the legendary Tony Hawk and all the OG pros or even some fresh faces. Plus, you’ll be shredding to tunes from the iconic soundtrack of yesteryears, mixed with some fresh tracks. The controls are as smooth as a freshly waxed halfpipe, just like we remember them from the good ol’ Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater days.

All the classic modes are still there, and you can challenge your buddies with local 2-player modes. Get creative and show off your style with the upgraded Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater features. And for the competitive souls out there, there are multiplayer modes and leaderboards, so you can duke it out with skaters from all corners of the globe.

So save the date and get ready to drop into the halfpipe of a world that is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. It’s time to pull off those sick tricks and relive the glory days of skateboarding!
