Bandai Namco Establishes Two Studios For Commissioned Projects
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|November 14, 2023|0 Comment
Bandai Namco has officially established Studio 2 and Studio S for commissioned projects, and this development holds significant importance in relation to Nintendo.
These teams have previously collaborated with Nintendo on games such as Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, Mario Sports Superstars, Mario Kart Tour, ARMS, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
While Studio 2 and Studio S are not exclusively dedicated to Nintendo projects, recent job listings suggest a focus on developing content commissioned by Nintendo. Given the close relationship between the two companies in recent years, it is reasonable to expect this collaboration to continue.
If a new Smash Bros. game were to be in the works in the future, it wouldn’t be surprising for Bandai Namco to be involved. Although specific details about future projects remain speculative, Nintendo is likely to play a significant role.
