J-Pop Duo Released A Catchy Pokémon Music Video

YAOSOBI, a famous Japanese super duo teams up with The Pokémon Company to celebrate Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s first anniversary The music video, titled “Biri-Biri” has garnered 2.5 million views on YouTube since its release on Saturday.

The music video tells the story of the Pokémon trainer, Nemona and her rival, presumably presenting a player’s character in the game.

Throughout the CG story, we can see Nemona and her rival’s daily life as a Pokémon trainer traversing Paldea and battling Pokémons, starting from amateur trainers to full-fledged ones. Certain moments show both of them drifting apart and becoming the best of pals later on. The music video has a catchy tune, infused with the Pokémon Battle theme beats, which gives the feeling of nostalgia to long-time fans.

Biri-Biri was adapted from the original short story “Kimi to After the Rain”, written by Ayano Takeda and supervised by The Pokémon Company and Game Freak, based on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and was specially composed by YAOSOBI (composer Ayase and performed by vocalist Ikura).

The song is now available on Spotify and Apple Music including the English version of it.
