Bloober Team Teams Up with Skybound For New Thriller Codenamed ‘R’ Set For 2025

Bloober Team, an independent Polish game development studio known for horror titles such as Layers of Fear and The Medium, has entered into a partnership with Skybound, the entertainment company famous for The Walking Dead.

In this collaboration, Bloober will be adapting an undisclosed intellectual property (IP) from Skybound, which is recognized for franchises like Invincible and Impact Winter.

Bloober’s CEO, Piotr Babieno, stated that the studio will contribute its expertise in horror gaming to Skybound for the upcoming project, codenamed R, set to “premiere” in 2025. Although Bloober’s next anticipated game is the Silent Hill 2 remake for Konami, no confirmed release date has been provided. In a recent update, Bloober assured fans that the development of the Silent Hill 2 remake is progressing smoothly, urging patience for further details.

Additionally, Bloober is concurrently working on a new survival horror IP for Private Division, a publishing label under Take-Two. This project, announced in December, is still in early development and is not expected to be released before the calendar year 2025.
