Konami Brings Back Retro Collection Rocket Knight Adventures

Konami teams up with Limited Run Games for a re-release of the Japanese developer’s back catalogue title, Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked.

The collection for Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked includes three of the series titles: Rocket Knight Adventures, Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2, and the SNES-exclusive spin-off Sparkster. To further enhance the experience, the physical and digital collection will include a brand-new animated intro from Studio Meala, a rewind feature, a Boss Rush Mode, and Museum Mode, offering exclusive content that has never been seen before.

Pre-orders for the physical versions of the upcoming collection will be available starting on 19 January to 18 February 2024 through the Limited Run Games online store. The exact release date has yet to be announced, but it is confirmed that the collection will be launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Rocket Knight Adventures made its debut on the Mega Drive/Sega Genesis platform in 1993. The main character, Sparkster, became a mascot for Konami during the 1990s and has since appeared in numerous Konami games. In 2010, the franchise was briefly revived with the launch of Rocket Knight on Xbox Live and PlayStation 3.
