The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide To Palworld
Palworld has just launched and you have got to get in on the action. It’s a world full of cuteness and friendship, but let me help you get sorted on what the heck you are doing when you start. Like every other survival game, it takes a lot of farming and crafting before everything starts rolling.
GOTTA CATCH ‘EM ALL

No but really. GET THEM ALL. You get a ton of experience for every Pal you catch, well… until you catch 10 of the same species. So go get ’em. Not only that, each pal you catch will have different traits which makes them valuable for different things. Don’t worry about flooding your storage with the same pals, you can butcher them to make room for more. Catching and defeating Pals provides valuable resources like food and crafting materials!

Make sure to craft a lot of Pal Spheres before you go out on the hunt!
STAY WARM
Palworld has a Day/Night cycle which also has environmental side effects that may affect your gameplay. Nighttime makes it annoyingly dark, impeding visibility during movement and making your character to the chilling effects of the Cold debuff.

To counter this, you need a source of warmth so build campfires, orrrr get a trusty handheld torch (requires 2x Wood and 2x Stone). Having a Fire-type Pal will also work since they have a bright glow emanating from their bodies. These help you see better in the dark, too which is pretty neat.

PALS OR SLAVES?
Since you can only have 5 pals in your party, the rest are your slaves! Make sure to check the stats of your pals so you can choose where to leave them at base.

Leaving the right pals at the base will help with the automation of some stations! Technically turning them into your slaves. For example, the Fox helps you cook food, while Daedream helps you with crafting whatever you have queued up.
Make sure your pals are always happy! Build them beds and most importantly a Feed Box so they can get food whenever they are hungry. Remember to keep stocking the box up! When you have enough levels, be sure to build them a hot spring.

WE’RE SOARIN’, FLYIN’

That’s right! Get yourself a parachute so you can glide all over the map!. It’s helpful in traversing, especially at the start when you don’t have many options other than the fast travel. Always unlock a fast travel near you, so it makes exploring easier.

CRAFTOPIA
One of my favourite features of the game is the crafting system. You don’t have to have the items on you for you to build things, just set up a storage box beside crafting stations and they’ll automatically be counted in when building things at the station. Try to make sure you also build storage near logging sites or stone pits, just so pals who are busy collecting these resources can deposit them easily.

Most importantly, have fun playing the game! Remember, it’s an open world, and there’s much to discover, so go forth and explore to your heart’s content however you like!
