Street Fighter 6: Check Out These Ed Combos & Matchups

Street Fighter 6 just released its new patch this Tuesday, which not only adds some much-needed buffs and nerfs for certain characters, but also gave us a boxer character in the form of Ed.

Ed is a Psycho-powered boxer who was under the tutelage of badass boxer Balrog (or M.Bison if you’re in Japan). As such, all his attack buttons are punches, he has footsie tools in the form of his quick snap punches, has multi-hitting rush punch combos, and a bob-and-weave move that gets him into his opponent’s comfort zone (and away from trouble). He also has a projectile, a Super where he launches a slow-moving giant fireball, and a tether move that pulls his opponents closer for mixup opportunities.

Many, MANY high-level players have showed off a lot of tech for Ed, showing off his rushdown potential and tricks involving his Psycho tether and fireballs. Have a look-see.

If you rather see how his story mode and World Tour sections play out, check out these videos instead.

What About Street Fighter 6’s New Balance Patch?

Don’t worry: we’ve got you sorted. Long story short: JP and Ken have been nerfed, with the former getting the most due to how OP he gets.

Street Fighter 6’s Ed is available now, along with the new balance patch, for PC and consoles.
