You Can Play Hades 2 Early; Here’s How

Developer Supergiant Games has announced a way for you to play its upcoming roguelike Hades 2 early.

How? By signing up for the Hades 2 technical test. The Hades 2 technical test will take place before the game’s early access launch; the devs didn’t say when that is but they did say it’s “close”.

So what can you expect in the technical test? Not much, but it’s something you can try out to help give feedback to Supergiant. Even if you sign up, Supergiant is only going to select a small pool of players.

“The nature of the Test is such that we don’t know exactly how long it will last, though our estimate is ‘longer than a week, shorter than a month.

We likewise don’t know exactly when we will launch Hades II in early access, since that will depend on how long we end up running the Technical Test.”

As to how the game will roll out in Early Access, they’ll be doing what they did with the first Hades: roll out stages and story content in batches until they’re comfortable in releasing a 1.0 version of the game.

“The story will expand with each update, as we introduce more characters, and deepen relationships with existing ones. This process will culminate in our v1.0 launch, which will feature the conclusion to the story and any other finishing touches.”
