Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance New Dungeon & Mechanic Details Unveiled

Sega and Atlus have released a new deep dive video for its upcoming JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. In addition to story details, the trailer unveiled new demons and systems, as well as much-needed quality-of-life changes absent from the 2021 original on Nintendo Switch.

Demons

SMT V: Vengeance will boast more than 270 demons, including new ones designed by character designer Masayuki Doi.

Onyankopon (Enigma)

A sky god to the Ashanti people and other tribes in West Africa.

 

 

Anansi (Genma)

A folkloric hero of the Ashanti and other tribes in West Africa. He is known as a trickster who gets by on his wit and cunning.

 

Nyami Nyami (Dragon)

he Zambezi River god of the Tonga and Lozi tribes of southern Africa. He has the body of a snake and the head of a fish or dragon. He is said to protect people near the water and provide them with sustenance.

Bethel’s Sacred Space: Shakan

?The “Canon of Vengeance” storyline in the game will feature a new dungeon called Shakan: a sacred place and a forbidden land hidden in Shinjuku.?

“Shakan possesses a solemn atmosphere. ?The rotation devices and the angels that guard the sacred place stand in the way.”

Systems

New Miracles + Support Skill: Estoma

Miracles are still in the game, with some of them having the ability to be toggled on or off at will. A new one called Estoma can be activated by triggering the Magatsuhi gauge. While activated, you are undetectable by all but a few demons on the field.
