Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Adds Beatrix Next Week

Cygames and Arc System Works has released a new gameplay trailer for its next addition to its 2D anime fighting game roster: Beatrix.

Beatrix is a hard-hitting fighter who wields the Embrasque sword. She isn’t fast, but has a ton of versatility with her divekick, her horizontal catch-up attack, and anti-air. Lots of people are saying she’s the Sol Badguy of the GBVS Rising world.

Beatrix will be available on 23 May; that’s one day after Akuma comes out in Street Fighter 6. You can get her as a standalone character for US$7.99 or as part of the Season 1 Character Pass for US$35. The pass contains Lucilius, 2B, Vane, and Beatrix, with two unnamed characters joining the fray at a later date. Check out her gameplay below:
