Honkai Star Rail to Unveil New Endgame Mode Later this Year
By Alisha Alix|April 23, 2024|0 Comment
In the latest Developer Radio: Voice of the Galaxy for Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse has revealed that the upcoming version 2.3 will introduce significant changes and additions. Among these is a new endgame mode called Apocalyptic Shadow. This mode will join the ranks of permanent game modes such as Simulated Universe, Pure Fiction, and Memory of Chaos, which will start a new scheduling system.
Honkai Star Rail version 2.3 will introduce the following new game mode schedule:
Apocalyptic Shadow will challenge players by pitting them against previously encountered enemies but with a twist, “Trailblazers must face materializations of the Finality and defeat bosses they have faced before”. The enemies in this mode will be more powerful than their regular counterparts, mirroring the gameplay experience found in Pure Fiction and Simulated Universe. Players will be able to earn up to 720 Stellar Jades in each phase of Apocalyptic Shadow.
The new endgame mode promises to provide players with enhanced combat strategies and a deeper gameplay experience. It will also feature elements similar to Honkai: Star Rail’s Pure Fiction, where players will need to accumulate points in order to unlock valuable rewards such as upgrade materials and Stellar Jades.
But that’s not all! Honkai Star Rail will undergo significant changes and feature a new domain, Divergent Universe. There will be more variations between Blessings in this multi-stage domain, which will coexist with the original Simulated Universe. Players can also save Curios and Blessings they have obtained during their most recent run. Trailblazers will also be able to restart current battles without losing progress with the upcoming domain’s “Restart Challenge” function.
There is no specific date for the release of the Honkai Star Rail 2.3, but more updates will soon be revealed.
