Nintendo Switch Sports To Add Free Basketball Update

During the Nintendo Direct June 2024 livestream, it was revealed that Nintendo Switch Sports will be expanding its collection of sports games by adding basketball. This new addition will come as a free update to players.

The basketball feature will introduce various gameplay modes, including the option to dribble, pass, and score points in different settings. Players can look forward to engaging in 2v2 matches and participating in group free-throw sessions, among other activities, supported by both local and online multiplayer options.

While the specific release date has yet to be disclosed, Nintendo has indicated that the update is slated for release in the summer of 2024.
