Hidden Voice Lines Uncovered in Elden Ring DLC
This article contains spoilers for the final boss of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

In an intriguing discovery, Reddit user LaMi_1 has unearthed seemingly removed voice lines for the final boss of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. While delving into the game’s internal files, LaMi_1 found text prompts that hint at what could have been vocal dialogue for the boss, potentially addressing player disappointment over the character’s silence during the climactic battle.

The unearthed lines include:
- “I am Radahn.”
- “Born of red-maned Radadgon, and Rennala of the Full Moon.”
- “A lion bred for battle.”
Interestingly, while these lines are purely text and lack accompanying voice acting, they provide a glimpse into the backstory and identity of Radahn. During the second phase of the battle, Miquella appears with fully voiced dialogue, yet Radahn remains mute.
It remains uncertain whether these lines were ever recorded or if there is any method to activate them in-game. However, current indications suggest it is unlikely.
Elden Ring’s expansion DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, was released last month to widespread critical acclaim. Despite this success, FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki has recently ruled out the possibility of a second expansion but has hinted at the potential for a sequel.
In a conversation with The Guardian, Miyazaki expressed openness to an Elden Ring adaptation. He stated, “I don’t see any reason to deny another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, a movie for example. But I don’t think myself, or FromSoftware, have the knowledge or ability to produce something in a different medium. So that’s where a very strong partner would come into play. We’d have to build a lot of trust and agreement on whatever it is we’re trying to achieve, but there’s interest, for sure.”
