Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 Announced; Adds Old, New, & A Crossover Character From Cyberpunk Edgerunners
2D anime fighting game Guilty Gear Strive will still go on strong and will be getting a new Season Pass, announced just before the Guilty Gear Strive top 6 tournament at EVO 2024.
Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 will be out in October, and will start with the next DLC fighter: Queen Dizzy. This will be followed by Venom in early 2025, Unika (from the upcoming anime), and a guest character from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Lucy.
Dizzy and Venom are longtime characters in the Guilty Gear franchise, making their debut in Guilty Gear X back in 2000. Dizzy is now Queen as she’s married to protagonist Ky Kiske, with her son being Sin Kiske. Venom is a pool cue-wielding assassin who fights with billiard balls. Last we heard, he’s a baker.
Unika is a Gear-hating character in the upcoming anime, and Lucy is a netrunner from Night City and is from the show Cyberpunk Edgerunners. The latter is the first-ever guest character from a different game/anime series. She will most likely fight using pistols and her mono wire from the series.
In addition, there will be an open beta test of the new Team of 3 mode starting 25 July. Teams of 3 pits teams of 3 players against each other.
The open beta test of the new mode “TEAM OF 3” will be held from July 25(PDT)!
