EVO Fighting Game Tournament To Debut In Southeast Asia’s Singapore In 2026 [Update]

In the next two years, one of Southeast Asia’s countries will play host to the biggest fighting game tournament in the world.

During a major stage announcement at EVO 2024, the organization announced the upcoming locations for its fighting game tournament circuit.

EVO Los Angeles will take place in February 2025. EVO Japan will take place in Tokyo, 9th to 11th May 2025. EVO prime will take place in Las Vegas next year in 1st-3rd August 2025.  EVO will have a France circuit at Nice in October 2025.

Last but not least, EVO Singapore will take place in 2026. Singapore & France are the two new countries EVO will take place in. Little is known about the two apart from the fact that tournament organizers in their respective countries will be sorting out the events under the EVO brand, for good or ill.

Update [1/8/2024]: EVO Singapore 2026 will be co-organized by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB, via The Straits Times). Here’s a quote from STB executive director for sports & wellness Ms Ong Ling Lee:

“With several highly popular fighting game titles within one marquee tournament, we are excited to host Evo in Singapore in 2026.”
