Here Is Your First Look At The Nintendo Switch 2 And Its Specs, Kinda

There’s been a leak at the Big N, or at least those who were privy to sensitive pics and info from them.

Alleged images of the Nintendo Switch successor console (which we’ll call Switch 2 for brevity’s sake) have appeared online, leaking from Chinese social media site from someone who clearly want to f*** around and find out. The design of the Switch 2 is pretty similar to the original Switch, albeit with some slight modifications.

The Reddit post on the alleged Switch 2 images (prototypes at the very least) shows a device with a large 8-inch screen, magnetic Joy-Cons, and USB-C ports on both the top and bottom.

The Switch 2 specs include the following:

• 12GB RAM
• Support for HDMI 2.1 and 1080p
• 256GB of internal storage
• an LCD screen instead of OLED to bring down costs

While the following pictures are unverified, one source who was briefed on Nintendo’s plans said that the Reddit images match what the company has told partners to expect from its design (via VGC).

In any case, don’t expect the successor to the Nintendo Switch to come out until early 2025; this is due to Nintendo wanting to prepare stronger first-party titles and possibly avoid potential hardware supply issues. I do hope those specs are true because having 12GB RAM and a better processor means games running on 60fps. Which means the Musou Zelda games and Bayonetta 3 can finally run as God intended: stable and proper.
