Showa American Story Gears Up For 2025 Release
Publisher 2P Games and developer NEKCOM Games have confirmed that Showa American Story, an alternate-history action RPG with a post-apocalyptic twist, is set for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. A previously planned PlayStation 4 version has been scrapped.
The game’s newest trailer, which runs just over five minutes, offers a peek at a towering new boss, Shogun. Creative director XY.Luo told IGN, “Shogun is a six-meter-tall boss who strikes with a giraffe-like long neck and can fly, launching his shield for ranged attacks.”
In Showa American Story, players hit the open road as Chouko Chigusa, exploring a reimagined America by camper van and motorcycle. Her journey takes her through revamped destinations like New Yokohama (Hollywood), San Francisco, Las Vegas, Neo Tokyo-4 (Austin, Texas), and even Mount Rushmore. As she travels, she fends off zombies and bizarre creatures in action-packed combat, wielding everything from swords to guns and more unique weapons.
