Stellar Blade & Shift Up Will Be Busy With Ports & New Nikke Projects Next Year

Next year is going to be a big one for Korean developer Shift Up.

The makers of Goddess of Victory: Nikke have found huge success with its action-adventure PS5-exclusive title Stellar Blade, and plans to port the game for PC in 2025 (via Inven). In a recent Q&A session and quarterly financial results reveal, the company discussed plans to bring the game to PC.

“The release is being considered within 2025. Considering recent trends such as Steam‘s expanding market share in the AAA game sector and the global success of Black Myth: Wukong, we expect the performance on PC to exceed that on consoles.

To enhance the IP value and maintain momentum, we have been consistently releasing content patches and updates, which has helped sustain the game’s popularity.”

We’re guessing April 2025, since PlayStation exclusivity usually lasts for 12 months these days. Stellar Blade was released on PS5 on 26 April.

In addition, Shift Up will also be making an animated series for its other successful mobile title, Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Netflix will be producing and be abreast of the production. And due to the company’s other projects like Project Witches, Shift Up will also be expanding in Los Angeles, USA.

“We are currently developing Project Witches with the goal of launching it after 2027. We are considering communicating with users and the market in the first half of next year to share specific details about Project Witches.”

Stellar Blade’s latest update is a Nier Automata collaboration, and will be out on 20th November.
