Malaysia Fighting Game Tournament FV Major 2025 To Make Final Appearance At Tail End Of July

Flash Vision’s FV Major, the esports group’s mainstay fighting game tournament in Malaysia, will be ending its fighting game run this July.

FV Major 2025 will take place from 26 to 27 July and is held at Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, the same place it has been hosted the past few years. According to Flash Vision’s post, FV Major 2025 will mark the end of a fighting game legacy that has lasted for a long while.

Street Fighter 6 (Singles) – RM10,000

Misc.: Best-Dressed Award contest – RM1,000

The top players will receive Ray-Ban sunglasses and flight tickets to either EVO Japan 2026 or EVO Singapore 2026.

This event only has one international tournament circuit attached to it: the Tekken World Tour. For comparison, FV Major 2024 event had four international circuits: SNK World Championship, Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour, Arc World Tour, and Tekken World Tour. This is considered quite a drastic change given the fact that publishers like Arc System Works and SNK aren’t putting in their name and circuits for FV Major 2025. This may have been due to the mixed to negative feedback for FV Major 2024.

Earlier in February, Flash Vision announced an “Early Bird Promotion” for Malaysian players to enter FV Major 2025 for a cheaper price, though the promotion only lasted 2 days compared to past promotions where it lasted a month or so.
