[Report] First Look At Updated Sonic In Upcoming Live-Action Movie

Paramount shocked the world earlier this year when they unleashed the first live-action Sonic The Hedgehog trailer featuring an almost universally-loathed design for the iconic blue Sega mascot. After announcing that they will completely redesign Sonic and that the movie has been delayed to next year, thing shave been quiet.

Until now, that is.

While a proper trailer or image has yet to be released, two leaked images posted by Twitter user @BestInTheGalaxy reportedly reveal our very first look at the redesigned Sonic. It looks more accurate to the character’s original video game look, which will surely satisfy many fans.

It remains to be seen if these images are ultimately authentic or genuine, though one of them clearly looks like it’s part of an official-looking poster featuring Jim Carrey’s Dr Robotnik in the background. We’ll have to wait for an official new first look in the months ahead from the folks at Paramount.

Directed by Jeff Fowler, Sonic The Hedgehog is now slated to release on 14 February 2020.
