Japanese School Holds Graduation Ceremony Using Minecraft
With the Covid-19 coronavirus disrupting daily life, we’ve seen online services like Discord stepping up to temporarily replace on-site lessons and working. Now, a group of elementary school graduates in Japan have taken things to the next level by having their graduation ceremony in Minecraft.
As SoraNews24 wrote, schools in Japan are currently closed till after spring break as a safety measure, so graduation ceremonies are affected too. That’s how Minecraft came into the picture:

The first tweet, as translated by SoraNews24, says:
“‘What are you doing?'”
“‘We all decided to have a graduation ceremony together!'”
“Oh? Awesome. The elementary students gathered to start graduation themselves.â€
The second one says:
“They spent all day online together playing games and laughing. I’m glad they all had fun.â€

While we hope that the Covid-19 pandemic ends as soon as possible, it’s nice to see something positive like this come out of it.
