Overwatch League Transfers: Seoul Dynasty DPS Set for LAV Switch?

Update:

The Los Angeles Valiant have confirmed the move via their official Twitter account. No comment on other moves as of yet, tho.

A shock transfer is on the cards as a member of the Seoul Dynasty is rumored set to be sold to another Overwatch League team. According to Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, Dynasty’s DPS, Joon-hyuk “Bunny” Chae is set for a move to Los Angeles Valiant.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Bunny has recently removed any Seoul Dynasty-related imagery and affiliations tying himself to the organization on his social media accounts.

This development is in line with a week-long rumor that LA Valiant are currently in a mad dash to sort out several transfers before the transfer deadline for Overwatch League teams fall on the 4th of April. Word has it that in a move to curb the inter-personal issues within the team, the Valiant are looking to offload several players and have been on the lookout for a Korean-speaking Tracer.

Slasher also earlier hinted that talks between the Dallas Fuel and Valiant were underway but didn’t specify which players were involved. Assuming LAV are indeed interested, they have two Korean Tracers to pick from anyway – Effect and Rascal. However, Effect has been the Fuel’s starting DPS for the longest time while Rascal just recently transferred to Dallas from London hence the viability of this transfer is quite remote. What may eventually happen is Valiant’s Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson heading to the Fuel to reunite with his former Rogue teammate, AKM in return for a Support player, with Scott ‘Custa‘ Kennedy going the opposite direction

The Valiant move for Bunny would appease all parties as he’s been at the fringes for the the Dynasty with Fleta and Munchkin being the preferred starting DPS duo. By joining Valiant, Bunny links up with other Korean speaking players in Valiant – Envy, Kariv and Fate. Throughout of Stage 2, Kariv who has always been playing as support have been flexing to DPS as the Valiant struggled to keep up with other teams. The departure of uNKOE should allow Kariv to reclaim his spot in support, while Bunny fills in alongside Soon on DPS.
