DC’s New Wonder Girl Is Already Getting Her Own TV Series

The CW is working on a new TV series starring the new Wonder Girl from DC Comics’ upcoming Future Slate crossover event, Yara Flor. What makes this incredible is that Flor has yet to even debut in her own comic.

According to Deadline, CW’s Wonder Girl will be from Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions and co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez.

Most comic book fans know Wonder Girl as either Donna Troy (who’s the original) or Cassandra Sandsmark (the current one). However, DC’s upcoming comic book crossover will introduce a new future version of Wonder Woman named Yara Flor.

Yara Flor is described as a:

“Latina Dreamer who was born of an Amazonian Warrior and a Brazilian River God, learns that she is Wonder Girl.

With her newfound power must fight the evil forces that would seek to destroy the world.”

Wonder Girl will join existing DC shows at the CW including Batwoman, Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Black Lightning, Superman And Lois, and Supergirl.
