Xbox Project xCloud Is Coming To iOS & PC In Spring 2021
Microsoft’s cloud streaming service for Xbox games, xCloud, will be made available on Apple iOS devices and on PC sometime in Spring 2021.
In a new Xbox blog post, Microsoft confirmed that a beta version xCloud as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate be arriving next year. PC users will be able to access the service through the Xbox app from the Microsoft Store.
However, iOS users will access xCloud via a mobile web browser, due to Apple’s restrictions on games that bypass the App Store via another app.
In November 2020, Xbox Game Pass monthly engagement also more than doubled. Check out the statistics below:
- Over 1.6 million seamless upgrades delivered to Xbox Series X/S owners with Smart Delivery.
- Over 40 percent of players joining Xbox for the first time are playing on Xbox Series S.
- One of the fastest-selling Xbox Series X/S markets out of 40+ launch regions, Europe saw record sellouts in a matter of hours across the UK, France and Germany.
- During November, Xbox Game Pass members played more of their favourites, including, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Rainbow Six: Siege, Tetris Effect Connected, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order with EA Play on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
