CD Projekt Red Might Get Sued By Investors Over Cyberpunk 2077

The list of problems isn’t over yet for CD Projekt Red, as it looks like they could even get sued by their own investors over misleading them over Cyberpunk 2077.

As reported by the New York Times, a Warsaw-based law firm and CD Projekt investor have announced that they’re currently investigating the matter at hand for legal action on the basis of “misrepresentation in order to obtain financial benefits.”

According to a briefing prepared by the lawyer from the firm, they are inviting others who have also been affected by the “suspension of the sale of the Cyberpunk 2077 product.”

Another law firm has also announced a legal investigation as well.

New York-based Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP said that they were looking into taking legal action on behalf of the CD Projekt Red shareholders and investors.

This is “resulting from allegations that CD Projekt may have issued materially misleading information to their shareholders and investing public.”

According to Hoeg Law (a law firm specialising in video games), CD Projekt might also be accused of “manipulative and deceptive practices.”

You can check out a handy recap of all the problems plaguing Cyberpunk 2077 since launch by heading over here. Despite all those problems, the game still managed to stay on top of the Steam charts this week.
