Blanka Playable In SFV After Chinese New Year; Comes With Cute Story Costume
Street Fighter’s most annoying troll character is back. That’s right; Blanka (or Jimmy) will be back this February 20 with mash-centric Electric attacks and Blanka Rolls/Rainbow Rolls aplenty in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.
Check him out in action on this new Capcom trailer.
His V-Skill is the Coward’s Crouch, where he lays on the ground to avoid any high or mid move completely, then follows up with either a scoop throw or an arched jump.
His V-Trigger I powers up his Blanka Ball and electric Attack with follow-up and forward-pushing abilities. He also gets to use his trademark Grand Shave Rolling (ie the one where you hold the button to charge up the roll ala Sonic Spin Dash).
His V-Trigger II gives him a flexible ball move that travels in any direction. Including high up in the air, which looks like it’s taking cues from Darkstalker’s Talbain.
But forget all that; what we care about is this Gumby-esque outfit he has if you complete his Story Mode.
D’awwww… at the very least being trolled by Blanka will be a lot more tolerable with this skin.
Here is his story mode description that led to this weirdly adorable turn of events:
In SFV: AE, Blanka is living peacefully with his mother, and has adapted well to being introduced back into society. One day, a suspicious salesman approaches him and offers a way to make Blanka famous by mass producing a doll made in Blanka’s likeness. Will it work?
Because fighting game stories are meant to go bonkers. I sure as hell would main Blanka with this outfit. Even pro gamer Justin Wong, who will appear on an Astro EGG esports segment in the near future, approves of this plushy skin:
BRUH… WHO WOULDNT MAIN BLANKA IF YOU CAN LOOK LIKE THIS!!! pic.twitter.com/wUNUSFTptW

Here are more pics of his Nostalgia and Battle costume, but we’d rather just get the best skin for Blanka for free.
