(Report): Overwatch Slashes Time Between Competitive Seasons

In a surprise move announced by Blizzard earlier today, the gap between Overwatch Competitive Seasons 13 and 14 has been severely reduced once Season 13 comes to an end this December 31st, 2018 2pm PST (that’s January 1st 2019, 6am for Malaysia/ Singapore, Hong Kong).

Each ‘Season’ typically runs for between two to three months, with about a week’s break between seasons. However, this time around, you won’t have to wait too long to continue your SR climb. As reported on the Blizzard Forums, the grind resumes just two hours later.

The post by Community Manager, Tom Powers read:

“Season 13 will officially end on Monday, December 31 at 2:00 p.m. PST (Monday, December 31 at 22:00 UTC). Season 14 is currently scheduled to launch two hours later on Monday, December 31 at 4:00 p.m. PST (Tuesday, January 1 at 00:00 UTC).”

Guess we know what we’d be spending our New Year’s Day on eh?
