By Alleef Ashaari|March 25, 2019|1 Comment
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming new documentary, Our Planet. The eight-part series comes from the creators Planet Earth and showcases unseen footage of wildlife in their natural habitat while revealing what’s so beautiful about our planet, which will definitely convince anyone to help in preserving it.
Our Planet was shot in Ultra High Definition (4K) in over 50 countries, promising sights and sounds that will make you gape in awe. Not only will it feature Sir David Attenborough as narrator, but there will be 10 other narrators in local languages, including prominent Hollywood actresses like Penélope Cruz for Spain and Salma Hayek for Latin America.
Penélope Cruz said:
“Being a part of Netflix’s Our Planet is an incredible honor. The series is spectacularly beautiful and the message of conservation could not be more timely or important.
I feel very close to everything Our Planet stands for and I’m proud to bring such a powerful piece of work to my home country and audiences around the world.”
Salma Hayek said:
“Our Planet transcends borders to deliver an inspiring message of wonder, respect, and care for our natural world.
I’m honored to work with Netflix to help bring the series to those in my home country of Mexico, and to a Spanish-language audience throughout Latin America and the rest of the globe.â€
In the first episode alone, viewers can look forward to visiting the lush Brazillian rainforests and Norway’s Svalbard archipelago. Our Planet is slated to start streaming on Netflix on 5 April 2019.
