We’ll Be Hearing More About The Mega Drive Mini This Saturday

It’s been a while since we’ve heard about the Sega Mega Drive Mini. Which is why it’s great that Sega will be talking more about it later this week.

The Sega Fes 2019 website received an update (via Siliconera), stating that there will be more info about the upcoming retro console on 30 March at noon (GMT +8). The stage event (streamed on Nico Nico and YouTube) will be about 40 minutes long and will have Hiroyuki Miyazaki and Yosuke Okunari as guests. Personally, I just want to see the final games library for this official machine.

Speaking of which, Sega hosted a Twitter fan poll for which game should be added into the mini-device. Readers chose Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Puyo Puyo Tsu, and Shining Force over Sonic The Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo, and Shining Force II. Heresy on the last choice though.

Apart from that retro-laden event, there will also be a Yakuza/Ryu ga Gotoku series fan meetup, a Puyo Puyo esports tournament, and a Persona 5 talk show.
