Stardew Valley’s Latest Update Adds Fresh Content And Bug Fixes
By Syazwan Bahri|April 24, 2019|0 Comment
Game designer, Eric “Concerned Ape†Barone has recently tweeted some hints in regards to the next major Stardew Valley update. The latest update, patch 1.4, will see bug fixes and also“new stuff and ‘quality of life’ features.†All consoles will receive the update.
Simultaneously, the next free content update (1.4) is coming along very well, it’s packed with new stuff and “quality of life” features that will make playing Stardew smoother and more fun. 1 example is the ability to pay Marlon to recover a lost item when you “die” in the mines!

The patch details are vague at best, but some specifics were revealed. All the new content in the upcoming patch will be available in multiplayer mode. Barone also pointed out in a tweet that some content will only be playable in multiplayer mode.
Everything new in the update will be available in multiplayer as well as single player! Actually there are a few new features which are multiplayer-only, but nothing that is single player-only

One of the quality of life (QoL) tweaks in this update will address the issue players may have encountered when passing through the mines. If you fall in there, you can randomly lose any inventory items that aren’t tools. After Stardew Valley patch 1.4 is applied, people will be able to visit Marlon at the Adventurer’s Guild and pay him to recover one item that was lost.
The multiplayer patch is already available for the PC and Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the patch is currently undergoing quality assurance testing phase on both consoles. It will be released around May 2019.
