Nier: Automata Sales Top 4 Million, 2 Years Later
By Kakuchopurei|May 14, 2019|0 Comment
Better late than never, right? One of 2017’s critical gaming darlings from Square Enix and Platinum Games’, Nier: Automata, has recently exceeded four million units in sales both in shipments and in digital sales.

The sales total count the PS4, PC, and Xbox One sales for the game. Keep in mind that the game first came out on 23 February, 2017, and that the game was rereleased under the “Game of the YoRHa Edition” moniker this early February. The resurgence and the game’s quality did help in making it reach these sales numbers, so good going Platinum Games and Square Enix.
So should you still buy the game even if it’s a few year’s old? Heck yeah; if Kakuchopurei was around earlier in 2017, we would have crowned this one of our GOTYs of its period. It’s got a tragic tale of cyborgs trying to be human coupled with awesome action and gameplay that’s on-par with Platinum’s other works like Bayonetta and Vanquish. Plus, it got the cosplay scene in Southeast Asia in a tizzy thanks to 2B’s choice of clothing.
