Here Are The Best Deals Of The Steam Summer Sale 2019 [Update]

This news page will be updated on a daily basis. As such, this story is bumped up from its 25th June publish date. Check back here often for the best deals and recommended picks!

So yeah, the Steam Summer Sale has started and will last from 25th June to 9th July. You know what to do: splurge on games and make them languish in your Steam library. Or find time to play them when the mood fancies you.

This year’s summer sale is a little special; it’s now themed the Steam Grand Prix where players can join a team and contribute “distance points” by completing various quests. These include hacking a door in Space Hulk: Deathwing or harvest crops in Stardew Valley.

At each day of the sale at 1am GMT+8, the team with the most points will claim three GP points, followed by two for second place and one for third. Drivers from the top three teams will also be selected to receive random items from their Steam wishlists daily at the end of the race.

To get more points, you can get boost points by buying games during the sale. Check out the full rules of the Steam Grand Prix here. We’ll break it down for you:

  • “Points” add directly to your team’s distance traveled when spent in a “Boost,” while “Nitro Boost Points” add to your team’s speed, which earns it distance over time.
  • For every dollar you spend, your Boost Meter will be able to hold 100 more points. For every quest you complete, you’ll earn 10 to 100 points, as well as some amount of Nitro. Points you earn beyond your Boost Meter’s capacity are wasted.

Long story short: get achievements in games you own, earn points for your team, boost them by buying games highlighted in sales.

Enough Talking; What About Them Deals?!?

Speaking of deals, here are a few off the top of our heads. We’ll be sure to add more as time goes by.
