Ninja’s are a common trope in fighting games…well they’re pretty much a common trope in gaming, comics and movies – any medium in general, but Mortal Kombat 11 just came out and somehow we still aren’t tired of Sub-Zero.

The blue ninja garb is absolutely iconic, and despite the idea of a ninja being pretty generic when it comes to fighting games, Sub-Zero’s ice-based move set still comes off as fresh and innovative to this very day. It also helps that fans can relate to the story of cold-as-ice ninja trying to make amends of the sins of his older brother who donned the same moniker.

You also have to remember: his persona also paved the way to the ESRB-maker. You know what we’re talking about.
