21. Ace the Bat-Hound (Batman)

If there’s a Superdog, there also has to be a Bat-Hound that keeps him in check. Just don’t mention the name Martha to any of them, they might start howling endlessly.

22. PaRappa (PaRappa the Rapper)

This lyrical pooch is probably the face of many gamers’ first foray into rhythm games. From rapping about cooking to earning your driver’s license, there’s nothing PaRappa can’t solve with rapping.

23. Meeko (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

Not a lot of Skyrim players stumble upon Meeko as he’s not part of any specific sidequest. You’d find him next to a road and he’ll lead you back to a shack called Meeko’s Shack and inside is his deceased owner. That’s the short story of Meeko.

24. Mr. Chew (Borderlands 3)

Borderlands 3 introduces us to FL4K, a robot Beastmaster that has control over a variety of pets including a skag named Mr. Chew. Technically, Mr. Chew isn’t a dog but he’s still a very good boy nonetheless.

25. Dog (Fable II)

Fable II may not have been the sequel everyone wanted but it still gave us something to smile about. Your canine companion in the game is a life-long friend who helps at many points in the game.

26. Lockjaw (Inhumans)

A giant bulldog with teleportation powers, that’s what Lockjaw is. He’s also the escort and loyal protector of the Inhuman Royal Family. He appears in the Inhumans TV show but don’t expect too much of that series.

27. Alexander (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

There’s nothing special about Alexander. Well, not until…you know.

28. Amaterasu (Okami)

Hailing from one of the best PS2 games ever made, Amaterasu is a Sun Goddess who must venture out to save Nippon which has been drowned into a state of perpetual darkness.

29. Duck Hunt Dog (Duck Hunt)

Ah yes, who could ever forget the face of this giggling bastard. God, just looking at this picture makes me want to punch my monitor.

30. Boomer (Far Cry 5)

Boomer is apparently more of a scout than he is a fighter but he can not only take down men holding guns but also bigger animals like pumas. Now that’s badass. Oh yeah, he can also retrieve weapons for you.
