Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Will Launch Next Month
Fans of Squall, Rinoa, Guardian Forces, and Time Kompression will be pleased to know that Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will be out pretty soon.
Can you say 3rd September? Because that’s when it’s coming out for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. It’ll cost you US$19.99. This version’s features include enhanced visuals, battle assists, no encounters mode, and a 3x speed boost. The latter is my favourite feature in recent PC releases of JRPGs like The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. I like narratives and dialogue, but your text scrollings and pacing needs to be faster than paraplegic snails.
As a bonus, Square Enix confirms that it will be fixing Squall’s face in a particular ballroom scene that’s been an internet meme for a while. We could have posted that tidbit up as a separate news piece with some fluffy bits, but we have standards.
