Gamescom 2019: Disintegration Shows What Former Halo Co-Founder Has Been Working On
V1 Interactive is an independent game studio founded Marcus Lehto who formerly worked at Bungie as the creative art director and also co-created the Halo universe. The 30-man studio has just revealed their first game: Disintegration.

The game will put players in the robotic shoes of Roamer and pilot a hovering space-motorcycle called a Gravcycle. Judging by what I’ve observed in the reveal trailer, players will command a three allies while shooting and deploying skills on the Gravcycle.
During his presentation at the Gamescom 2019 Opening Night Live, Lehto explained that the game is an FPS with elements of real-time tactics as well. There will be a full-fledged single player campaign and a “huge” multiplayer component.

To be honest, the game reminds me too much of both Destiny and Anthem. The first moment I saw the squad-based gameplay, I thought to myself “Oh, they’re just remaking Destiny but with more varied character designs.”
Hopefully, it’s more than just another looter shooter.
Disintegration is scheduled for release in 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Gamescom 2019 attendees can get a taste of the game’s multiplayer mode at the exhibition floor.
