New Terminator Dark Fate Trailer Heralds A New Judgment Day
By Alleef Ashaari|August 30, 2019|0 Comment
Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for its upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate movie, which will act as a direct sequel to 1997’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It will ignore the events of Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, Terminator: Salvation, and Terminator: Genisys.
From the looks of the trailer, it seems like the actions of Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor in the second movie (destroying Cyberdyne) may have prevented the initial Judgment Day from happening, but has somehow caused a new incoming “dark fate”.
That is the warning issued by Mackenzie Davis’ Grace, who is a cybernetically-enhanced human from the future, and not a Terminator like we previously thought. She says to Sarah Connor:
“You may have changed the future, but you didn’t change our fate.â€
According to James Cameron, Terminator Dark Fate is meant to be the beginning of a new saga and not a definitive ending for the franchise. That could either be a good thing (if the movie turns out to be great) or a bad thing (if the opposite happens).
Terminator Dark Fate also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger who reprises his role as an old T-800 Terminator, while Natalia Reyes will be playing the role of the person everyone is trying to protect from the killer robot AKA the new antagonist Terminator portrayed by Gabriel Luna (of Agents of SHIELD‘s Ghost Rider fame).
Terminator Dark Fate will be released in cinemas on 1 November 2019. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
