Farm Your Borderlands 3 Legendaries Here Before Gearbox Finds Out! [Update]

Update: Gearbox implemented a hotfix for this bug. You can’t do this anymore. 

Here’s an exploit that will allow you to easily farm 15 Legendary weapons in 15 minutes (or less if you’re really good). No doubt Gearbox will patch this one out as soon as they find out so you better be quick, vault hunter (via PC Gamer)!

Here’s how it’s done:

1. Set the difficulty to Mayhem 3 (you’ll need to beat the game to unlock Mayhem). You can do this on Mayhem 1 or 2 but the chance of getting better loot will be lower, of course.

2. Fast travel to Eden-6 and head to Jakob’s Estate. Sprint past everything to get to the point marked in the map below. A purple-tinged Loot Tink will spawn beneath the deck there.

3. Kill the Loot Tink. He will drop a few legendaries and maybe even some Epics but don’t worry, you can pick them up later. Make sure you bring one shock weapon and one incendiary weapon so you can eat through his shields and burn him to a crisp in seconds.

4. Once you’ve killed the Loot Tink, he drops a bag. Open it and watch as a fountain of Legendaries spring before you.

5. Rinse and repeat by fast traveling back to the Jakob’s Estate fast travel point, quit to the main menu, and load back in.

There you have it. Do this for half an hour and you’ll already have enough Legendaries to last you at least an entire week. Here’s a vid to show you the exact spot without obnoxious streamer commentary.

Beware, the game can become laughably easy after you’ve attained such ungodly amount of firepower. Happy farming, vault hunter!
