What The Heck Is This New Nintendo Switch Peripheral

Nintendo just dropped a promo video out of nowhere and this time, it’s about… Well, it’s um…

You know what, see it for yourself:

Are you getting those Wii Fit flashbacks yet?

It seems

There’s a lot of speculation going on and for me, I think it’s probably going to be an accessory that’s used for a spiritual successor of the Wii Fit. Observing that little thigh-strap, it’s obvious that this is meant to simulate full body movement through the Joy-Cons motion controls.

Some fans are theorising that this might be a teaser for a new WarioWare game or maybe even a sequel to Super Mario Party. I’m thinking the latter is a bit unlikely because it was only released about a year ago. It’s still really popular too.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for the announcement to drop on 12 September 2019, which is also the first day of the Tokyo Game Show 2019.
