A Certain Lady Ninja Is Missing In The Recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Reveal; Here’s Why

Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and his team recently announced the release of SNK mascot Terry Bogard, a special King of Fighters stage, and about 20 SNK character cameos like Ryo Sakazaki, Kyo Kusanagi, and Iori Yagami. What was missing was a cameo of a particular bouncy ninja: Mai Shiranui from the Fatal Fury and KOF series.

Sakurai’s reply on the matter? “SSBU is for good boys and girls of many different ages”. What that means is that Mai’s default outfit might be too spicy for a G-rated game like Super Smash Bros.

Exhibits A, B, and C below, in case you need to “cuci mata sedikit”:

The internet, of course, is quick to point out this inclusion and respond to Sakurai. And also remind folks that characters like Bayonetta and Zero Suit Samus get a pass, because of double standards, right?
