Dying Light 2 Out In The Wild; Techland Asks Players To Wait For Day 1 Patch [Update]

Update: Techland recently shared a number of patch notes for the Day 1 patch. It’s added below the story.

So much for following street dates.

Retail copies of Dying Light 2 have surfaced ahead of the game’s 4 February release date, according to developer and publisher Techland. The studio has requested on a recent message for players to wait for the game’s official Day 1 patch that’s due on 4 February. As of now, the retail version of the title is in an incomplete state as of now, but will be updated on launch.

“Fellow survivors, we see that some of you got an access to the retail copies of Dying Light 2 before the release date (it’s this Friday, only 3 days left!). We understand you want to start exploring the City ASAP and we couldn’t be happier!

That being said, we kindly ask you to wait until Feb 4th as by that time you’ll also get access to all improvements and fixes we’ve implemented within last weeks and will introduce with the day 1 patch. That’s the way to experience Dying Light 2 the way it’s meant to be played.”
