Apex Legends Devs Calls Out Leakers Of Season 4 Twist
By Alleef Ashaari|January 28, 2020|0 Comment
Apex Legends is gearing up for Season 4 as the battle royale game nears its one-year anniversary on 4 February 2020. However, leakers have spoiled the big surprise plot twist of the upcoming new season, which has incurred the wrath of the game’s developers.
Data miners prematurely leaked an interaction between Apex Legends characters Forge and Revenant, which reveals that Revenant will be replacing Forge as the next playable character in the game.
Respawn Entertainment have since officially released the leaked trailer, which features Forge speaking with a talk show host in a televised interview before the assassin android Revenant appears and apparently kills him. You can check it out below.

In response, Respawn Entertainment Project Lead Drew McCoy said in a tweet posted earlier today:
Since it keeps popping up:
Leaks are the absolute worst. I’ve never worked on a single project where it was purposeful or wanted.
We spend insane amounts of time and energy to create cool surprises. Really sucks when someone wants internet points bad enough to ruin that.

Meanwhile, Respawn Entertainment Senior Animator Moy Parra also voiced disapproval over the leak in a tweet but confesses that there’s still a “silver lining” to the leaks.
So relieved this is piece is finally out! Not gonna sugar coat it, it wasn’t fun seen so many leaks go wild online just for some easy clicks. It was shitty! But the silver line, people seem excited about the developing story, and we’re only getting started

Nonetheless, Apex Legends players will still be looking forward to the next season of the game, regardless of whether it has been leaked or not. Leaks often build more hype and anticipation for the game, though I’m sure that the developers have their own plans and schedule to follow, which must make it frustrating.
