Early Access To Sci-fi City Builder Industries of Titan Starts Q2 2020

Brace Your Games have revealed in a newsletter that their industrial city building sim/strategy game Industries of Titan, will be getting its Early Access launch in Q2 2020. The precise date hasn’t been decided, but a Closed Beta announcement can be expected soon.

There hasn’t been new footage of the game for a while now, but the 2017 (!) teaser trailer reveals a rather nice-looking game.  It’s set on Titan, Saturn’s moon, and sees you competing with other Great Houses to build massive industrial cities and “powerful factories” Oddly enough, there’s a brief combat trailer from 2018, but no proper showcase of the city-building elements.

One noteworthy thing about the game’s Early Access launch is that it’d be on the Epic Games Store only. In a post from March 2019, the developers said that the 1.0 version of the game would launch a year after Early Access on both the Epic Games Store and Steam.

The newsletter also mentions that the studio is aiming for a mid-2020 Early Access release for their strategy mech game, Phantom Brigade. Like Industries of Titan, Phantom Brigade will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year during its Early Access period. A devlog featuring the game’s animator was released recently.

Although I’m not thrilled about Epic’s one-year exclusivity deals, we’ll ultimately be getting the full versions of both games on Steam at the same time as the Epic Games Store, after the Early Access kinks are ironed out. I think that’s not so bad.
