Would you watch a Borderlands movie directed by the guy who directed the awesome horror film Hostel and a half-assed Cannibal Holocaust tribute? If “yes”, you might like this piece of news.

Randy Pitchford made a quick announcement that Eli Roth will be directing the upcoming Borderlands movie with Lionsgate and Arad Productions. More info will be revealed at this year’s PAX East on 27th February.

Given the crappy state of Borderlands 3’s narrative -which is thankfully the game’s only major issue- we do wonder if Eli Roth will get the correct folks to write a better tale fit for an R-rated production. At the very least, we’ll see some comedy and over-the-top gore blend hand-in-hand here.
