You Can Now Watch Deadpool On Netflix Malaysia
By Alleef Ashaari|February 12, 2020|0 Comment
2016’s Deadpool was the first time that people took R-rated comic book movie adaptations seriously thanks to its massive box office earnings, with a grand total of US$783.1 million. This is despite the fact that 1998’s Blade (and its subsequent sequels) already proved that R-rated movies could be successes almost two decades before it.
Deadpool held on to the title of highest-grossing R-rated movie for two years, before its 2018 sequel, Deadpool 2, garnered US$785,046,920. This record was then broken just a year later by Todd Phillips’ Joker in 2019, which amassed a whopping $1.072 billion.
Ryan Reynolds lobbied for Deadpool for years in Hollywood, before eventually being picked up and produced by 20th Century Fox. His passion for the character and source material is apparent in the quality of the movie, which features smart self-aware meta comedy and cheeky violence.
Four years after its initial release, Deadpool is now streaming on Netflix Malaysia. If you’ve previously watched the movie in Malaysian cinemas, I recommend that you watch it again on Netflix. The theatrical version was probably butchered and cut to pieces by the censorship board back then.
Head on over to this link to start watching Deadpool on Netflix now.
