Command & Conquer Remastered Collection Will Invade PCs This June

The wait is over, Command & Conquer fans who want to replay their classic real-time strategy games in 4K high res glory & reworked assets. We’ll be getting this collection, which includes Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and their three respective expansion packs, this 5th June.

To recap, the remastered collection comes with the following:

  • Redone assets in lush 4K and UI overhauls (alongside the option to use the old one), courtesy of Petroglyph Studios and Lemon Sky Studios; #MalaysiaBoleh for the latter!
  • Over 100 campaign missions, including the Covert Ops stuff from the console ports back then and other secret levels.
  • Online multiplayer, including leaderboards and custom game options.

Come to think of it, we actually live in a world where EA’s remastered effort is looking better and more promising than Blizzard’s Warcraft III: Reforged mess. It’s still a few months more: I’m sure EA will find a way to destroy our goodwill somehow.

You can get the collection online (via Steam or EA Origin), but if you’re one of those who want limited edition physical swag, you can order these from Limited Run Games. The 25th Anniversary Edition will set you back US$149.99…

…while the Special Edition will cost you US$59.99.

Hot damn those Tesla Coil/Mammoth Tank replicas and the Tiberium Crystal USB device make these worth getting.

On a side note, C&C’s music is industrial techno goodness. We did a feature on its composer Frank Klepacki; do check out how he went from D&D to this.
