PC Tests For Halo 2 and Halo: Reach’s Forge Are Being Planned

Less than two weeks after the unanticipated Steam launch of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, 343 Industries is making preparations for testing for Halo 2 and Halo: Reach‘s Forge.

“We’re currently planning for our next flight to include content for Halo 2, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo: Reach‘s Forge & Theater for PC, and potentially some Halo: Reach audio fixes,” 343 wrote in a blog post.

“These fixes are still in progress, so currently they may or may not come in our next series of flights.” Flighting refers to 343’s “early access play sessions” via the Halo Insider Program.

What I’m excited for the most are those potential Halo: Reach audio fixes. I had a good time with Reach, but the muffled audio on PC really did sour the experience. You can hear the difference between the PC version’s current audio and the Xbox 360’s in the video below.

Still, I’m looking forward to experiencing Halo 2 and Halo: Reach‘s Forge too. Guess I should hurry up and finish Combat Evolved Anniversary’s campaign in the meantime.
